About Babysitters on Demand

Trusted by Perth families for over 20 years

In two decades we've built strong relationships with both families and carers — so we understand what works, and we match the right babysitters with the right families. You won't be searching for work on your own; we bring you genuine opportunities with families who truly need support.

We're a relationship-first agency, not a job board. That means real people who know your name, understand your availability, and care about how every booking goes — before, during and after. When a placement works beautifully, we celebrate it with you.

The carers on our team are the reason families keep coming back. We choose people for their heart as much as their qualifications — and we look after them.

What we look for

Requirements to join our team

We don't operate like a typical job board — we match you with families based on your availability and experience.

Working With Children Check

A current, valid WWCC is required before placement. You'll need to obtain one before commencing.

National Police Clearance

A current clearance (less than 6 months old), renewed as it expires.

A valid First Aid certificate, obtained before commencing if you don't already hold one.

Childcare qualifications

A Cert III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education is highly regarded, though not mandatory for all roles.

Experience with children

Hands-on experience through previous roles, education or family — genuine confidence around all ages.

Reliable transport

A valid licence and reliable vehicle strongly preferred — to reach families across Perth on time.

Strong communication

Clear, warm, professional communication with children, parents and our team — responsive and proactive.

A genuine love of children

More than any qualification — people energised by being around children. The most important thing we assess.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need all the certifications before I apply?

You need a WWCC, Police Clearance and First Aid to commence work. You can still apply without them — just indicate which you're willing to obtain. We can't place you until all checks are in place.

How many hours per week would I work?

It varies with your availability, the roles you apply for and demand in your area — from a few casual hours to regular full-time arrangements. We match as closely as we can.

Can I work for other agencies too?

Yes — please disclose it in your application. We ask you're transparent about availability, honour commitments to BOD families, and sign a non-disclosure form to protect our processes.

What if a booking isn't a good fit?

Open communication matters most. If a placement isn't working for you, for any reason, talk to us as soon as possible and we'll find the right resolution for everyone.

How do I submit my availability?

Once onboarded, you submit availability weekly in advance — that's how we match you with bookings. No availability submitted means you're not put forward that week.
